As the curtains close on the fifth edition of the \u2018Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg,\u2019 one question rises above the rest: What are we leaving with?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Over the course of three days, from May 20 to 22, Doha became a meeting ground for over 3,000 global voices from 93 countries. From heads of state to founders, policymakers to technologists, the conversations we hosted were not just timely. They were necessary. Why? They reflected a world in flux, a decade at a turning point, and a region stepping confidently into its global role.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This year\u2019s theme, \u201cThe Road to 2030: Transforming the Global Economy,\u201d challenged us to think about both growth and direction. And while headlines often focus on what is signed or announced, the real legacy of a forum like this lies in the ideas that cut through long after the applause.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We spoke openly about the fractures shaping the world, from disrupted supply chains to emerging geopolitical blocs, and how nations must navigate complexity without closing off collaboration. We debated the hype and reality of AI, and what it means to innovate ethically at scale. We listened to insights on financing the transition, reimagining the creative economy, and investing in long-term stability. And we reminded ourselves that dialogue, when done well, is more than a soft skill. It is a strategic move.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In just three days, the Forum saw the signing of 24 Memoranda of Understanding, featured insights from over 125 mainstage and breakout speakers, and was brought to life with the support of 16 dedicated sponsors. It is a testament to the scale, ambition, and collaborative spirit that defined this year\u2019s edition.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Looking ahead, the road to 2030 is before us, and the endpoint remains five years away. But it is a road we walk with clearer eyes and stronger alliances than before. As we begin shaping next year\u2019s edition, we do so with a renewed sense of purpose and possibility.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In a world of headlines, Doha continues to offer something different: substance, seriousness, and a seat for every voice willing to engage.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
