Qatar Museums, supported by Media City Qatar, presented the regional debut of \u201cYour Ghosts Are Mine: Expanded Cinemas, Amplified Voices\u201d on 18 April at Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, where the exhibition will run until 9 August 2025.<\/p>\n
As Presenting Partner, Media City Qatar played a key role in bringing the exhibition featuring works by more than 40 content creators and video artists to Doha, continuing its mission to spotlight voices from the Global South. Originally shown at the 60th International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia, \u201cYour Ghosts Are Mine\u201d was produced by Qatar Museums and supported by Media City Qatar. Its Doha debut invites audiences to explore themes of identity, memory, and displacement through the moving image.<\/p>\n
To mark the opening in the country, Media City Qatar reactivated \u201cThe Bridge,\u201d a sculptural installation by Qatari artist Fatma Al Shebani and Italian artist Nicol\u00f2 Galasso. First revealed in September 2024 at a special event in Venice, Italy, the piece symbolizes the fusion of the traditional Venetian \u2018carnival\u2019 mask and the Qatari \u2018battoulah\u2019, reflecting the universal power of media, film, and art.<\/p>\n
The exhibition, also co-organized by the Doha Film Institute, Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, and the forthcoming Art Mill Museum, in collaboration with ACP Art Capital Partners, showcased genres including documentary, fiction, memoir, and animation.<\/p>\n
