
Media City Qatar participated as the Strategic Partner of the 10th edition of the Qatar-UK Festival 2025, hosted by the British Council, in partnership with key national cultural institutions. Held from 2–12 December, the festival provided an important platform for Media City Qatar to showcase Qatar’s rapidly growing media ecosystem to UK creative industry leaders and explore new avenues for international collaboration in innovation and content creation.
As part of the program, Media City Qatar participated in the Creative Industries Forum on 10 December at the National Museum of Qatar, held under the patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums. During the Forum, Eng. Jassim Mohamed Al Khori, CEO of Media City Qatar, took part in a panel discussion titled “Evolving Narratives: Film, Broadcast, and Journalism in the Creative Industries,” addressing how media, filmmaking, and storytelling are shaping the future of the creative economy through digital innovation, talent development, and strengthened Qatar-UK collaboration.
In addition, Media City Qatar brought back “The Next, On Air,” the AI-powered podcast first launched during the 2025 ‘Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg’, in partnership with Google Cloud. Produced using Google Cloud’s NotebookLM, the podcast generated Arabic and English summaries of key Creative Industries Forum discussions, reflecting a new way of experiencing large meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions where insights remain accessible whether you’re in the room or not.

Media City Qatar also supported the Photography and AI Image Generation Competition, contributing to the recognition and development of emerging creative talent within the festival’s programming.
