Media City Qatar is increasingly positioning itself at the center of the region’s evolving creative economy, using major international platforms to accelerate growth, attract investment and support talent development in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
In an interview with Arabian Business, Chief Executive Officer Hamad Omar A. Al-Mannai outlined how global events such as Web Summit Qatar and Art Basel Qatar are being transformed into long-term economic catalysts rather than standalone showcases.
“Major international platforms like Web Summit Qatar and Art Basel Qatar are important to how we deliver on our mandate at Media City Qatar and contribute to Qatar National Vision 2030. With the global creative economy projected to account for up to 10% of global GDP by 2030, according to Forbes, these platforms enable creators, innovators, investors, and institutions engage directly with Qatar’s fast-growing media and creative ecosystem,” he said.
