Media City Qatar has released the official trailers for two of its supported original drama series, “When I Saw” and “Behind the Scenes,” offering an exclusive first look at the two Arabic-language series ahead of their upcoming screen release.
The milestone comes as Media City Qatar returns to MIPCOM Cannes in 2026 with an expanded presence and a growing portfolio of completed supported projects, one year after the series’ productions were first announced at the same global industry gathering last year.
Produced by licensed company ImagiQ Productions, the two series bring together leading regional talent and original storytelling developed for audiences across the region and beyond.
“When I Saw,” directed by David Oryan and starring regional talents Mohamad Al Ahmad and Aimée Sayah, follows a painter who loses his sight just as his muse begins to rise to fame. As their lives take an unexpected turn, the drama-thriller explores ambition, identity, and the complex ties between artist and muse, set against the vibrant and unpredictable world of creativity.
“Behind the Scenes,” written by Nadine Jaber and directed by Emile Slailaty, stars Dima Kandalaft as Rama Haddad, a former investigative journalist turned podcaster. The investigative thriller follows Rama after she discovers a photo album connected to Ghina Habeeb, a young singer who disappeared in the 1990s, drawing her into a decades-old story of exploitation, silenced voices, and entertainment-industry secrets.
