Media City Qatar announced its partnership with Doha Film Institute (DFI) to power the 2024 edition of the Ajyal Film Festival, set to take place November 16 to 23. This collaboration highlights Media City Qatar’s ongoing commitment to strengthen Qatar’s creative ecosystem, further empowering an established platform to spotlight local and international film talent while advancing the country’s ambitions as a global media hub.

The 2024 Ajyal Film Festival, one of the largest and most prestigious cultural events in Qatar, will offer a week of cinematic excellence with a diverse lineup of films and events, including interactive discussions, inclusive screenings, a film exhibition, and Qatar’s largest pop-culture event, Geekend. With Media City Qatar as the principal partner, this year’s festival is set to elevate Qatar's role in the media, entertainment, and film industries, attracting creators, filmmakers, and audiences from around the world.

A highlight of Media City Qatar’s involvement in this edition of the festival is the exclusive premiere of a new episode of The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition Season 2, which showcase Qatar’s unique culture and landscapes. The Apprentice is a co-production by Media City Qatar and Group ONE Holdings, with three episodes filmed across several iconic locations in Qatar, spotlighting the country’s growing presence on the world’s entertainment stage. The special screening will include a red carpet event followed by a screening and a panel discussion featuring key figures.
