Media City Qatar and Invest Qatar participated in Gamescom 2025, the world’s largest gaming event held from August 20 to 24 in Cologne, Germany, to showcase Qatar’s growing role as a hub for gaming, esports, and digital content, and to attract gaming studios and publishers to the country. The event, which brought together more than 1,500 exhibitors from 72 countries, marked their debut at this leading international platform for the gaming industry.
Media City Qatar held more than 35 meetings with international publishers. These discussions emphasized Qatar’s position as a hub between East and West, highlighting the advantages available to companies who choose to join Media City Qatar’s ecosystem in the country, including 100 percent foreign ownership, a tax-free environment, tailored incentive programs, and state-of-the-art facilities in downtown Doha.
Invest Qatar’s dedicated booth also featured Media City Qatar’s licensed companies, with Digital Dunes and Miza presenting their Doha-developed mobile game Pro Soccer Legends, built for players across MENA.
Through their joint presence, Media City Qatar and Invest Qatar showcased the country’s business-friendly environment, support mechanisms, and creative talent, contributing to positioning Qatar as a strategic entry point into the wider MENA gaming and esports market that is projected to hit $6.8 billion by 2030.
