Cancan's mission: Employ disabled talent on screen and behind the scenes, and tell authentic, comedic disabled stories. Cancan has produced 2 ground breaking series: Advice You Don’t Want to Hear and DisCo, a globally touring disability talk show that amplifies local disabled voices and has been filmed in English and in Arabic.
Disability intersects with every minority community. 1 in 3 households globally include a disabled viewer.
Recent catastrophic events in the middle east are a mass-disabling event. Generations of newly disabled people are being created daily. This creates both stories that need to be told, as well as audiences ripe for targeting. Cancan’s content is not just for people with disabilities. The comedy is universally funny Focusing on issues tackled worldwide like family, love, and cats. We produce both fictional and nonfictional live events. Cancan also produces live standup comedy events. Cancan is amplifying Arab women comedians voices in a way that no other platform is. Currently half of our employees identify as disabled, and it is a women-lead organization
