Media City Qatar Begins Next Chapter from its New Headquarters in Msheireb Downtown Doha

After confirming the move last year, Media City Qatar is now operating from its new headquarters at Msheireb Downtown Doha, a purpose-built smart and sustainable campus that advances ‘Where Next is Made.’ Spanning 23,000 square meters across four buildings with LEED Gold certifications, the campus is commencing the placement of Media City Qatar’s core team, partners, and portfolio of licensed companies inside one of the world’s leading smart and sustainable city districts.

H.E. Sheikh Dr. Abdulla bin Ali Al Thani, Chairman of Media City Qatar, together with the leadership team, toured the new headquarters along Sikkat Al Wadi to see the transition in progress, explore the offices, and connect with employees as teams settle in.

Commenting on the relocation, Eng. Jassim Mohamed Al Khori, CEO of Media City Qatar, said, “Our move to Msheireb Downtown Doha is a strategic investment in the future of Qatar’s media ecosystem. It gives Media City Qatar a bigger stage: a modern campus that is digital-first, energy-efficient, and built for collaboration. This campus turns ‘Where Next is Made’ into a working model, with four LEED-certified buildings, best-in-class media infrastructure, and phased onboarding for our partners and licensed companies to create and scale from day one. From our new headquarters in Sikkat Al Wadi, we stand prepared for the next chapter in media, and we have the place to make it.”

Set in a high-performance urban environment that blends Qatar’s architectural heritage with modern design, Msheireb’s smart district supports lower energy use, high connectivity, and efficient operations for state-of-the-art studios, production, data storage, and AI integration.

Media City Qatar will welcome its ecosystem of partners and licensed companies to the new campus on a phased basis. This approach ensures smooth onboarding while studios, offices, and shared facilities are commissioned and optimized for each licensee. Dedicated teams are coordinating timelines, fit-out requirements, and services to maintain business continuity throughout the transition.

This milestone in operationalizing Media City Qatar’s new physical headquarters reinforces the organization’s drive to create an environment that supports high-performance teams, creative excellence, and seamless operations for partners and licensees.

As part of this ongoing commitment, Media City Qatar was recently certified as a Great Place to Work® by Great Place to Work Middle East, following an independent evaluation that recognized its people-first culture and commitment to talent development. In the certification survey, 94 percent of employees affirmed that Media City Qatar is a great place to work. The recognition signals to local and international professionals that Qatar offers the right conditions for media talent to grow, innovate, and lead, aligning with the human and economic development goals outlined in Qatar National Vision 2030.
