From Creative Legacy to a New Chapter in Qatar: Rahbani 3.0 at Media City Qatar

In a region where large-scale cultural production increasingly sits at the intersection of music, film, and national storytelling, Rahbani 3.0 is building work designed to travel across formats, audiences, and borders. From Doha, the company views Qatar not only as a place to create, but as a gateway to the wider region, enabling ideas developed locally to reach audiences beyond a single market.

Founded by brothers Omar Rahbany, a composer, and Karim Rahbani, a director, Rahbani 3.0 is a music and film production company specializing in large-scale concerts, films, theatre productions, and major governmental and national campaigns. Operating as a fully integrated creative house, the company manages projects end to end, from creative concept and ideation through to full production and final delivery.

After establishing operations in Doha in late 2024 with Media City Qatar, Rahbani 3.0 moved quickly from setup to execution. Within a single year, the company delivered two major projects in Qatar, using Doha as a base not only for production, but for scale.

Rooted in Heritage, Built for Today

Rahbani 3.0 was founded in Lebanon and shaped by a family environment where music and storytelling were part of everyday life. As the grandsons of Lebanese composer and artist Mansour Rahbani, Omar and Karim grew up observing how creative work could carry cultural meaning while reaching wide audiences.

That heritage informs how the company approaches its work today. Rather than treating music, film, and visuals as separate disciplines, Rahbani 3.0 develops projects where sound, narrative, and imagery are conceived together as part of a single creative vision. This way of working shapes how projects are structured, how teams collaborate, and how ideas evolve from concept to execution.

A National Moment at Scale: ‘Qatar SoundBeat’

One of the most defining projects to emerge from Doha was ‘Qatar SoundBeat’, developed with Media City Qatar for Qatar National Day 2025.

At its center was ‘Nabd Qatar’, a musical composition conceived and composed by Omar Rahbany and produced by Rahbani 3.0. The song was unveiled during the final of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 at Lusail Stadium, in the presence of national leadership, government officials, visiting dignitaries, and more than 88,000 spectators from across the region.

Created with the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, the premiere transformed the stadium into a synchronized canvas of sound and light on one of the Arab world’s largest stages. Drawing inspiration from Qatar’s defining sounds, from Ardha chants and desert winds to the rhythm of a heartbeat, the composition brought together 68 musicians and 30 instruments in a rich orchestral arrangement.

“Media City Qatar entrusted us with supporting the creation of a musical work that could carry the weight of the nation’s story,” says Omar Rahbany. “Bringing this composition to life required dozens of disciplines working together to create something far greater than its parts.”

As the project gained momentum, ‘Qatar SoundBeat’ expanded organically into teaser content and a full music video, directed by Karim Rahbani and released across Media City Qatar’s platforms, extending the storytelling beyond the stadium to audiences in Qatar and beyond.

From Stadium to Concert Hall

Alongside ‘Qatar SoundBeat’, Rahbani 3.0 delivered Lubnaniyat, a large-scale concert presented in May 2025 during the Doha International Book Fair at QNCC, in collaboration with the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra. The concert was fully booked, reinforcing the company’s ability to deliver ambitious cultural productions from its Doha base.

Together, the projects demonstrated Rahbani 3.0’s ability to move between national moments and concert hall settings, scaling ideas without losing creative coherence.

Building from Doha

Behind the scenes, Media City Qatar supported Rahbani 3.0 across licensing, permits, and operational setup, allowing the company to focus on creative delivery rather than administrative complexity. Office space provided a stable base for collaboration, while guidance on filming and production permits supported fast-moving project timelines.

Reflecting on their experience, the founders are clear about the value of the ecosystem.

“In just one year, we were able to achieve a great deal, and much of that progress was made possible by the ecosystem at Media City Qatar. The support across legal, logistical, and production needs allowed us to focus on what matters most, creating and delivering our work without unnecessary friction.”

Looking Ahead

Qatar now sits at the center of Rahbani 3.0’s growth strategy. As the company continues to evolve, Media City Qatar remains central to how its work is developed, scaled, and positioned across the region.

For Rahbani 3.0, Doha is a place where heritage meets possibility, where creative ambition is matched with the structure to realize it, and where ideas are given the space to grow into work that travels beyond borders.
